19 year old trapped in crashed vehicle, rescued near Vidor

In the vicinity of Vidor, Texas, a 19-year-old woman was involved in a single-vehicle crash on July 9, 2023, around 4:50 p.m. The preliminary investigation indicates that a 2009 Honda Accord was traveling east when the driver, identified as Haylee Obrian from Vidor, was reportedly driving at an unsafe speed.
As a result of the excessive speed, the vehicle veered into the south ditch and collided with a concrete culvert, causing significant damage to the Honda. Haylee Obrian became trapped inside the wreckage, necessitating the intervention of emergency responders. The Jaws of Life were used by the dedicated officials to successfully free her from the vehicle.
After recognizing the urgency of the situation and the extent of her injuries, Haylee Obrian was promptly transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital via medical helicopter.
An ongoing investigation is underway to gather further information about the incident and determine the precise sequence of events leading up to the crash.
