Bobcats cruise past Bears, Win 22-4A District Pennant

Orangefield Varsity Bobcats claimed victory over Little Cypress Mauriceville on their way to a 9-1 victory.

Orangefield Varsity Bobcats got things moving in the first inning when Kameryn Henderson led off the inning with a single and advanced to score on two LCM errors.  Tyler Shearin scored on a Kolbie Sowell RBI groundout, and Kyle Michael scored on a Jason Bodin sac fly.

Orangefield Varsity Bobcats put up three runs in the third inning.  Orangefield Varsity Bobcats put the pressure on, led by a single by Macoy Marze and a sacrifice fly by Trent Eaves.

Cooper Longron was credited with the victory for Orangefield Varsity Bobcats. The pitcher allowed four hits and one run over six innings, striking out two.  Jason Bodin threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Parker Seago was on the hill for Little Cypress Mauriceville. The right-hander lasted four innings, allowing seven hits and seven runs while striking out one.  Brice Frenzel threw two innings out of the bullpen.

Orangefield Varsity Bobcats totaled eight hits.  Kyle Michael and Kameryn Henderson each racked up multiple hits for Orangefield Varsity Bobcats.

Reid Peco went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Little Cypress Mauriceville in hits.

Orangefield Bobcats repeat as 22-4A District Champions with the win and will travel to Vidor on Tuesday.

Orangefield to face China Spring in Semifinals

The regional semi-finals will be a best of three between Number 5 ranked China Spring Cougars and the 8th ranked Orangefield Bobcats

Orangefield swept the Livingston Lions and China Spring beat the Rusk Eagles in a single-game playoff game that was split due to its weather.

The playoff series is:

Game 1 Wednesday, May 25th at Navasota 7 pm start time.
Game 2 Thursday, May 26th at Conroe Grand Oaks HS 4:30 pm start time.
Game 3 Thursday, 30 minutes following game 2 if needed.

Orangefield advances, awaits opponent for Regional Semifinals

The Orangefield Bobcats swept the Livingston Lions in a best of three series to advance to the regional semifinals currently scheduled for May 28th

They await the results of the one-game playoff between Rusk and China Spring. The game was delayed until Monday after the weather caused a delay of game.

At the time the game was delayed, Rusk had a 4-3 lead in the 3rd inning.

Bobcats one win from advancing

After a 12-1 Game 1 win over Navasota, the Orangefield Bobcats are just one win away from advancing.

They take on Navasota at 5:00 for Game 2 and Game 3 at 7:30 if needed.

Both games are in Humble.
