The Community Christian Girls Middle School Basketball Team notched its first win of the season holding St. Catharines to 1 point to win 14-1.

MaKayla Nguyen shot for 10 points and Ally Brousard hit for 4 points. The defense was led by Audrey Brousard and Keara Fenner as they nearly kept St. C’s scoreless.

Orange, TX- Most area schools start the holiday break this week. However, local basketball teams will be busy during the holidays. McNeese State University will host the Bayou Border Battle again this year. Local SETX teams will play against neighboring SWLA teams during the two-day event.
