It started as a complaint to the Mayor from an angry customer in South Carolina.
This led Mayor Misty Songe to put out a warning that Gold Pro, with a Vidor address, is not a legitimate business and should be avoided.
Her statement pointed out that Gold Pro was not shipping out the precious metals they were being paid for.
Their address is listed as 101 N Main Street in Vidor.

GoldPro 101 N Main
In a search of the business, their website states the following:
GoldPro began with Mike and his beautiful wife, Julie. Mike had been in the Precious Metals Industry since graduating from Lamar University, where he majored in United States history while earning a minor in finance. Mike had already built a reputation for selling the rarest United States coins that are obtainable known in existence. After eight years of working for someone other than himself, Mike decided it was time to readjust and go into other investment classes where he soon got a job with Merrill Lynch where he contributed a significant portion of his success as it solidified his belief that when one invests or wished to protect their wealth, they should continuously diversify.
Mike refers to Michael James White, who is listed as the CEO according to the Better Business Bureau. The BBB gives GoldPro an F and is not an accredited member.
Merrill Lynch could not verify a Michael James White had been employed by them and no search showed the name associated with a broker’s license.
The BBB review of the company states:
This company’s BBB file contains a pattern of complaints in which consumers allege delivery, refund, customer service and service issues. Specifically, consumers allege they paid in full for products that have not been received at all or delivered in a timely manner, failure of the business to provide promised package tracking numbers and failure to honor promised refunds. Additionally, customers allege failure of the business to respond to their calls, removal of the business website, and discovery of a new business name and website with the same business phone number.
BBB contacted the company in May 2020 requesting that they address the pattern of complaints and propose a method to eliminate the pattern from continuing. To date, BBB has not received a response from the company.
Further investigations into the company put its prior address as 2050N 11th street, Beaumont, TX, 77703
At the time of publication, a request for comment from GoldPro has not been answered.
UPDATE: GoldPro has answered the query with this statement:
Yes, we have been at 101 N. MAIN in Vidor for the last 7 months, there hasn’t been one person who has bought gold and it hasn’t shipped, the shipping has been slower than normal however every customer receives their invoice prior to sending funds to ensure they understand that shipping has been delayed in a lot of instances due to the supply chain. The few orders that are out even have delayed shipping on the site
It has been reported that GoldPro is no longer operating in Vidor.
