Orangefield Bobcats blowout Hardin 61-7

The Orangefield Bobcats continued undefeated in district play after a dominating performance over the Hardin Hornets on Friday.
Orangefield started its scoring in the First Quarter as Number 10, Senior Brayden Parker had a 14-yard touchdown. The field goal missed, giving the Bobcats a 6-0 lead with 9 minutes left in the quarter.
With 7 minutes left in the quarter, Number 14, Gavin Perry-Koci would have a 35-yard rushing touchdown; followed up by a Cameron Dischler rushing in for the 2-point conversion.
Before the end of the quarter, Dischler would strike again, this time with an 80-yard rushing touchdown. The extra point missed making the score 20-0
On a drive right before the end of the quarter, Beau Elkins would intercept a Hardin pass.
Dischler would lead off the 2nd quarter with a 50-yard run to make the score 26-0.
The kick would miss.
The next drive by Hardin would end quickly with an interception by Caleb Fregia on Hardin’s 32-yard line. This would be followed by a quick rushing touchdown.
Ty Butler would make the kick moving the Bobcats up 33-0
The Bobcats would then go up following another Dischler rushing touchdown (16 yards) and a good kick by Butler to end the half 40-0
The third quarter would see a bad snap fumble by Orangefield. However, Hardin would not be able to do anything with it, turning it over on downs.
In this drive, #14 Perry-Koci would score on a rushing TD with Butler making the kick.
With five minutes left in the quarter, Dischler would score again making it 53-0. Choate would deliver putting the Bobcats up 54-0
Hardin’s only score of the night would be a touchdown pass and a good extra kick with 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.
But Dischler was not done for the night with another rushing touchdown. Jacob Worthy would make good on the kick with a final score of 61-7
Orangefield is now 1st in District at 4-0, and 6-2 overall for the season. They will face Kirbyville next week at home.

The Strutters participated at the ADTS Team Camp this week and took home many awards. Mrs. Cude stated about the team, “The Strutters worked as one- always supporting and encouraging when 16-hour dance days became exhausting. Each day they pushed and gave more!”
