OSCO executes Heroin related arrest warrant

On Wednesday, September 14, 2022, The Orange County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, with the assistance of the Orange County Support Division and the United States Marshal’s Office, executed an arrest warrant in the 500 block of Ruby Street, Vidor, Orange County, Texas.

Job Allen Smith was arrested on November 18, 2021 after a search warrant was executed at his residence regarding the distribution of heroin. Smith was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon after two rifles were located in his residence on this date.

The Federal Bureau of Investigations – Beaumont adopted the case and presented it to the United States Attorney’s Office – Eastern District of Texas for federal prosecution. Smith was later indicted by a federal grand jury after the case was presented by United States Attorney’s Office.

Smith was arrested for the charges and transported to the Orange County Correctional Facility where he was later taken into custody by the FBI and transferred to a federal holding facility.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank United States Attorney’s Office – Eastern District of Texas, Federal Bureau of Investigations – Beaumont, and the United States Marshal’s Office for their assistance in this investigation.

Man Wanted by Orange Captured in New Orleans

On April 26th, 2023, Arthur Blackmon Jr. was indicted by an Orange County Grand Jury for Murder of Richard Williams. The murder occurred on November 11th, 2022, near Cove Drive in Orange, Texas. On May 4th, 2023, Arthur Blackmon Jr. was located in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was placed in custody without incident.

Blackmon will be transported to the Orange County Jail at a later date.
