Tony Munson XC Invitational

High school:
The Bobcats Took to Liberty Municipal Park to compete in the Tony Munson invitational. This meet was set up to have some stout competition and the Cats did not disappoint. The Boys would run first, and would see another great outing. First to cross the line was Tanner Sullivan in 13th place with a time of 18:40. The next Bobcats to place would be Timothy Trammell and Carson Worthy in 17th and 19th place running around the 19 and a half minute mark. Ty Butler would just narrowly miss the medal stand finishing in 24th place but running well. The Boys would finish 3rd place out of 10 teams in the official standings.
The Girls would step up to the line next. We saw some new PR performances, starting with Aubree Beck running a 14:38. Next through the line was Kadee English with a new PR of 14:59. Jocelyn Hernandez and Madison Trammel would continue improving their times with new PR’s of 15:39 and 15:40.All of these girls continue to work hard and improve every meet.
Junior High:
The boys cross country team would take on the course for the Tony Munson Invitational this weekend. Our first to cross the line was Jackson Agerton with a time of 12:07 good enough for the 5th place finish out of 237 boy runners, next up was Nate Clausen who would run a 12:58 for 24th place and finally, Koa Sides would beat his personal record by 2 whole minutes to earn a new PR of 14:40.
Our lone ranger Kinslee Rush would get a new PR as well. She would run a 17:19 to earn the 80th place finish out of 224.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

Hickman talks High School Football at Rotary Club

Head coach and athletic director Hiawatha Hickman spoke to a packed room at the Orange Texas Rotary Club.

Hickman talked about the upcoming 2023 football season, their playoff chances, and the hard work the Mighty Mustangs have put in to prepare for the season.

The Strutters participated at the ADTS Team Camp this week and took home many awards. Mrs. Cude stated about the team, “The Strutters worked as one- always supporting and encouraging when 16-hour dance days became exhausting. Each day they pushed and gave more!”
