Vidor falls to Fannett in Nederland Tourney

Vidor fell to Fannett in a tough matchup.

#5 Bryce Lofton shot for 20pts and 6 rebounds. Zander Lindsey (#11) got off 16 points and 7 rebounds.

#23 Brayden Root was able to score 10 with 13 rebounds, and Jose Guerrerro-Evans (#3) was effective with 5 points and 7 assists.

Vidor returns to the Tournament against John Cooper at 1:30

Local teams see action during holidays

Orange, TX- Most area schools start the holiday break this week. However, local basketball teams will be busy during the holidays. McNeese State University will host the Bayou Border Battle again this year. Local SETX teams will play against neighboring SWLA teams during the two-day event.

Vidor Beats out Kountze

Vidor traveled to Kountze Monday night where they downed Kountze 69-58

Zander Lindsey had 33 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks.

Bryce Loftin shot for 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks. 

Brayden Root scored 7 points and 10 rebounds. 

Vidor travels to Warren on December 6th.

Ragusa makes 1000 pts as Bobcats win home opener over Pirates.

The Vidor Pirates traveled to Orangefield for a JV/Varsity Matchup.

The Pirates JV won 35-33.

This was followed by a spirited Varsity matchup.

Senior Pete Ragusa (#5, PG/SG) went over 1000 points for his career. Ragusa scored 26 points, with 5 assists and 4 rebounds.

Freshman starter Jaden “Ghost” Scales (#2, PG/SG) scored 17 points, had 3 assists, and 2 rebounds

Zane Wrankle, Junior, (#4, SG/PG/SF) scored 5 points with 10 rebounds and 4 assists

And Senior, Brady Anderson (#21 SF/PF) scored 7 points with 7 rebounds.

On the Pirate side, Bryce Loftin (#5, PG/SG) got off 26 points and 10 rebounds.

Vidor hosted Huntington on Friday, and hosts Buna on Tuesday. Orangefield hosts Buna on Tuesday and West-Orange Stark on Saturday
